On August 9, 2024, Dolce Hera performed at Rubix Festival 2024 in Porto Montenegro.
Hera performed a very special audio-visual performance that represents an opportunity to dive deeper into her upcoming album, as an uncommon journey through musical genres.
The performance began with the premiere of a new collaboration – the remix “Uncommon Dreams” by Bizarr Duo, which is a remix of Hera’s first single Common Dreams ft. Nina Žižić created by this talented female DJ duo from the capital.
It was presented through a break dance and techno dance to the notes of the remix as a special audio – visual experience for the audience created by the particular atmosphere on the stage, visuals on the screens as well the dancers from the multiple award-winning dance studio Sonrisa from Podgorica in colorful futuristic costumes by the Montenegrin designer and brand SHIFT by Ana Krgović.
Then a new music video for the upcoming new single “TRIVIAL LOVERS” was presented, which represents the biggest novelty so far in D.H. project, given that it is sung by Hera herself, which means that it is her first single in which she enters a new role as a singer, in addition to being a music author, lyricist and drummer.
The song is also a completely unexpected new musical genre in D.H. project, produced by the music studio Knowhere2run from Podgorica.
The music video was directed by Hera, produced at Synchro Studio in Porto Montenegro as a realization of the scholarship awarded to her by the Miloš Karadaglić Foundation for an audio-visual project.
The entire performance represented a journey back to Hera’s punk rock roots, through a special performance on drums and guitar of an instrumental that develops on the musical theme from the new single, through guitar riffs and solos by a well known guitarist and author Miloš Pejović accompanied by Hera’s energetic drumming.
A very special guest of her performance was Vladana, a prominent performer who represented Montenegro at Eurovision 2022, and with whom “Sweet & Bizarre” was released in October 2023 in a featuring collaboration, and together they breathed life into this single on the Rubix stage.
The performance closed with an intimate moment of the acoustic version of Common Dreams sung by Hera accompanied by backing vocals from members of the “Zima” choir, a multi-awarded choir known for also being the ecumenical choir of St. Peter’s Co-Cathedral in Bar, Montenegro.
Hera is very happy that she personally designed the concept of this performance and took care of its realization, especially because this performance at the Rubix festival also represents her return to live concerts after a long musical break.
Hera had many artists from Montenegro as guests of her concert:
- Vladana Vučinić, with whom she performed live their joint featuring single “Sweet & Bizarre”;
- Bizarr Duo as a female DJ duo from Montenegro with whom she premiered a new collaboration, remix called “Uncommon Dreams” by Bizarr Duo, which is a remix of Hera’s first single “Common Dreams” ft. Nina Zizic;
